Using Ethernet as the interface standard of choice continues to proliferate within aerospace and defense mission system’s applications. This includes usage within sensor interfaces, storage networks, between processing elements, and communications system. The Ethernet protocol, with its variety of upper-level layers and standards, has the features to support high-bandwidth and low-latency interfaces demanded in high-performance computing. Ruggeded Ethernet boards and modules supporting 25Gbps per lane and multiple 100Gbps Ethernet interface per instance are readily available today.

New Wave DV’s Ethernet XMC products offer FPGA or FPGA + NIC based solutions. The combination of Ethernet NIC boards, FPGAs and IP cores allows for off-the-shelf performance while providing customer modification, algorithm deployment, and processing of network packets and payload data.
